| Wow! this weekend was the best weekend i have had in Jamaica soo far. I went bird bush (bird shooting) this past weekend. It was very fun, we had to wake up at like 4:30am and be in the bush at least by 5:30am b4 the sunrise. Literally in the bush, with all the mud b/c it rained the night b4. Boy it got muddy! I partnered up with my cuz Stephan. He taught me everything i needed to know about the shotgun, like how to reload, aim,the proper way to hold it and what safety precautions i must take when using the gun. I got to tell you, there is a strang feeling that i get when holding something leathal, knowing that one mistake or misuse of the shotgun can be very fatal. But yet at the same time i felt kinda excited to shoot a gun for the first time. My cuz stephan shot first...wow hes got good aim! looks easy, but its not. Finally it was my turn, i stood there waiting for the birds to come. 3 birds came at once, i lifted the shotgun in position and BANG! BANG! Damn it, i missed! i swear after the first 7 shots i finally shot a bird right in the ass, even the feathers were all over the air falling to earth, but the damn bird didnt go down and flew away....thats just my luck i tell you! then i shot my second bird and it went down pretty far from where we were, but no problem, we had bird boys that we hired to retrieve the birds after we shoot them. But guess what?.. they freaking couldnt find the damn bird.... again ! thats just my luck. All in all it was very fun.....wish i had pics to show you guys! eheh i was in army gear... im sure you guys wanted to see that ...LOL
I felt very sorry for the bird boys that we hired. we hired 5 bird boys for just my cuz and i....guess how much we pay them? $100 Jamaican each... that sounds like a lot but its not. $100 Jamaican is only $2.50 Canadian! talking about cheap labour for only 3 hours. Well the good thing was that my uncle who organized the whole thing had a party for all the bird boys and paid for beer, pop, and all the food thats was there...and man the food was good.....there was curry goat, fish tea soup, jerk chicken and other jamaican dishes. yummy!
Hungry anyone? :p

| Man! what a day, like i said all these people do here is just CUSS CUSS CUSS! I dont get these people here man.....im telling you, im starting to dislike these knee grows. This morning i was serving 2 young guys....gave them their coco bread and drinks and got them their change and gave them a bag and straw....remind you that it was busy at the time.. soo im tryign to do everything fast so people can get served. Then the guy asks for another coco bread, so I collect the money and slid it to him...he wasnt even that far.. I wouldnt even call it a slide. Then he starts cussing me and asking me if i think he is a dog? I wanted to say something but I didnt. What i shoulda said was...."If I thought you were a dog I woulda threw the coco bread far and tell you to fetch!"
Man..... I dont know what i got myself into? From being here for almost a year now.....I can tell you that about 60% of the people here are rude and have no respect for others, 35% are nice and friendly and 5% are mad and insane. Like Vanessa says...."Its a nice place to visit, but not a nice place to live." I totally agree with her!
I give mad props to the chinese people who live here and used to live here! | | |
